No, the BLDC can only involve itself w/ projects that will directly benefit the Town of Bolton.

Yes, the BLDC is a Local Authority under NYS law.
Is the BLDC under the jurisdiction or control of the Bolton Town Board?
No, as a Local Authority, the BLDC is not a branch or department of the Town of Bolton municipal government.
Does the BLDC have a budget?
Yes, the BLDC has an Annual Budget with a Fiscal Year that runs from 1/1 thru 12/31 of each year.
Does the BLDC receive operating revenues from the Town of Bolton General Fund?
No. However, the Town is not precluded from this option.
Is the BLDC a for-profit corporation?
The BLDC is a not-for-profit corporation created and existing by virtue of the not-for-profit corporation law of the State of New York.
How is the BLDC funded?
The BLDC is funded from revenues generated by the Norowal Marina, a for-profit corporation.
Does the BLDC have staff?
No. At the present time, all professional services required by the BLDC are provided by qualified contractors.
